Golf Digest has awarded Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand, the title Best Resorts in Asia 2017.

– We are very grateful for this award. It shows that we are more than just a great golf course, but a full service resort, says Black Mountain General manager Harald Elisson.

Just a week short of the 10 year anniversary of the opening of Black Mountain, the Hua Hin golf club has again won an international prestigious award.

Numerous time awarded Best Golf Course in Thailand and twice Best Golf Course in Asia Pacific, Black Mountain has received recognition by Golf Digest before. In 2012, Black Mountain was awarded Top 100 golf courses in the world outside the US and in 2015 Best Golf Course in Thailand by the prestigious golf magazine. This time it is the whole resort that is receiving recognition.

Golf Digest Best in Golf-list

The Golf Digest list Best in Golf (http://www.golfdigest.com/best-in-golf) is a massive overview of almost everything in golf; from Best golf clubs to Best rain gear to Best resorts international to name of few categories.

In the category Best Golf Resorts in Asia only 17 golf resorts from Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, South Korea and Thailand receives recognition. Black Mountain is one of them.

– This is such an inspiration for all of us at Black Mountain. We are grateful to have received awards for the golf course before, but this is the first time we are recognized as a golf resort. Our focus in the last years has been to create a great atmosphere not only on the golf course but before and after the round as well, says Black Mountain General manager Harald Elisson.

International school

An international school with an accredited UK curriculum opened next door to the resort two years ago. Construction of a retail area is scheduled to begin in 2017. As is a new course-side housing development.

– Together with the 45 private pool villas available to rent short and long term, Black Mountain is already a golf resort which we strive to develop to a complete golfing community, says Elisson.
