Jazz Blog: Good to be back!

Black Mountain sponsored player Jazz Janewattananond returns to Indonesia this week with fond memories. After all, it was at the Indonesian capital of Jakarta where Jazz was tied for the lead in the penultimate round before settling for tied sixth place last year.

We caught up with Jazz, who opened up about his desire to win his first Asian Tour title and catching up with his coach, ahead of this week’s BANK BRI Indonesia Open.

‘It is good to be back here. The course looks good and I feel good to be here. I was tied for the lead after the third round and on the last day, it was the first time I was in the last group on the Asian Tour.

That experience really helped me a lot. If I have a chance to be in contention again, then I will definitely do better than last time.

The course is not so long but you need to put it in play. It is a lot windier compared than last year. Hua Hin is windy but I played in the pro-am today and it is really windy! My coach is here with me Philippe De Busschere, who is based in Indonesia.

It will be good to have him around this week. I haven’t seen him for such a long time.”
