Cejka finishes T11 in the US

German veteran Alex Cejka capped a memorable week in the United States by wrapping up his campaign at the Shell Houston Open with a tied-11th finish on Sunday.

The 45-year-old Black Mountain sponsored player, who won his first PGA TOUR title in Puetro Rico last month, closed with one-under-par 71 at the US$6.6 million event which was won by American J.B. Holmes.

Cejka had earlier carded rounds of 65, 72 and 70 for a four-day total of 10-under-par 278, six shots back of Holmes who triumphed in a three-man play-off with compatriots Johnson Wagner and Jordan Spieth.
