On 20 April 2007, the Black Mountain Golf Course was opened. Since then a lot has happen in the foothills of the mountain west of Hua Hin, Thailand.
– We are very grateful for this award. It shows that we are more than just a great golf course, but a full service resort, says Black Mountain General manager Harald Elisson.
– No golf carts on the fairway and no fairway cutting, otherwise it is business as usual, says course manager Richard Halls.
Not only did European tour pro Pelle Edberg sneak out on Black Mountains new nine holes with fellow tour players Thongchai Jaidee and Johan Edfors, he also tried a new driver for the first time while on the course.

The new nine holes at Black Mountain are only a few days from opening. Europeantour players Thongchai Jaidee, Johan Edfors and Pelle Edberg could not wait for the new course to open to play it. As you can see in this video, it became competitive very quickly.
Black Mountain Golf Club was awarded Best Golf Course in Asia Pacific 2016, at the Asiangolf Awards, held in Hua Hin on Sunday evening. It was the second consecutive time Black Mountain won the award.
Black Mountain Golf Club on Saturday hosted the 10th annual Asia Pacific Inter-Club Tournament. David Leadbetter and John Solheim were some of golfs biggest profiles in attendance.
The Asian Pacific Golf Summit is being held in Hua Hin, Thailand this weekend. The purpose of the summit is to get the golfing industry together to create a venue were general managers, agents and other players in the industry can meet and exchange ideas. In conjunction with the summit an 18 hole two men team golf competition was held at Black Mountain.
Most golf courses has a hole players remembers long after they left. At Black Mountain Golf Club, it is the signature par three 11th hole. At 195 yards, with water short and right, a golf hole does not come much more difficult than this.
Adjacent to the 11th hole lays some of the private villas of Black Mountain. From here the members enjoys a first class view of the drama at the signature hole.
