Sweden’s Johan Edfors posted a second round three-under-par 69 at the Madeira Islands Open to finish in tied-seventh for his best result on the European Tour this season. The Black Mountain sponsored player traded five birdies against two bogeys on the final day of the event that had been reduced to 36 holes due to adverse weather conditions.

Edfors’ two-day total of five-under-par 139 left him four shots back of England’s Daniel Brooks and Scotland’s Scott Henry where the former went on to take the title by beating Henry in a play-off.
