Sweden’s Rikard Karlberg started his season with a solid top-15 result at the South African Open Championship on Sunday.

The Black Mountain sponsored player had a disastrous start in the final round when he turned in 40 but he bounced back with three birdies to close his campaign with a one-over-par 73.

He totaled four-under-par 284 to start the year with a tied 15th result and was seven shots off from joining the play-off between eventual winner Andy Sullivan and home favourite Charl Schwartzel.

This is a good sign for better things to come from Karlberg in 2015!
