Karlberg and Jazz battle on at Solaire Open

March 14: Sweden’s Rikard Karlberg and Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond kept alive their hopes of winning the Solaire Open when they posted a two-over-par 73 and one-over-par 72 respectively to make it into the weekend rounds at the Asian Tour event on Friday.

Karlberg, who started the day a single shot behind the leaders, carded a two-day total of two-under-par 140 to take a share of 13th place, five shots back of second round leaders Angelo Que and Miguel Tabuena of the Philippines.

Jazz, meanwhile had to endure a roller-coaster day when he marked his card with one bogey, three double-bogeys and six birdies for tied-31st place, seven shots behind Que and Tabuena.

The Black Mountain sponsored players will have to tame the windy conditions in the Philippines if they want to stage their comeback as only 29 players managed to break par.

American Berry Henson faced the early exit after he struggled with a 76 to miss the cut by a single shot with his 146 total.
