Portugal spotlight: Thongchai Jaidee

This week, the spotlight falls on Thai maestro Thongchai Jaidee as he takes on an international field at the Portugal Masters.

The Black Mountain sponsored star, who is ranked 43^rd in the world, will tee up alongside some of the world’s best players that include three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington, double Masters Champion José María Olazábal and two former Open Champions in Paul Lawrie and Darren Clarke.

Thongchai has already been victorious once on European soil this season where his triumph at the Nordea Masters in June added to his impressive career record.

The Thai, who plays on both the European and Asian Tours, holds six European Tour victories and 13 Asian Tour titles.

Thongchai will have the company of Scotland’s Marc Warren and Italy’s Matteo Manassero in his opening two rounds.
