Black Mountain hero, Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand continued to make his impression on the world stage by rising swiftly up the Official World Golf Ranking to a career high of 37th place. Fresh from his memorable victory at the Nordea Masters on last Sunday, the Black Mountain sponsored star will head into next week’s U.S Open on a high.
“It’s simply amazing to know that I’ve won in Europe again. This win is dedicated to my family, all the Thai people and everyone who has supported me.
It is a special week for me, to win a trophy outside of Asia for the second time. I’ll keep performing better,” said Thongchai in his victory speech in Sweden.
At 44 years old, Thongchai is simply in a class of his own and will tee up against the game’s elite at the year’s second Major in the best of form.
The Asian Tour legend will make his fourth U.S. Open appearance with his best result of tied-47th coming at the 2010 edition.
