Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand produced a trademark fightback when he produced a four-under-par 68 in the opening round of the BMW International Open on Thursday.

The Black Mountain sponsored player recovered from two opening bogeys with six birdies which included three in a row from the 15th hole.

The Thai star is currently tied for 10th place and is three shots back from opening round leaders Lasse Jensen of Denmark, Rafa Cabrera-Bello of Spain and Daniel Gaunt of England.

Rikard Karlberg of Sweden was also off to a decent start after shooting a 70. He is tied for 38th position.
