Thongchai signs off with a 69

Black Mountain sponsored player Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand signed off with his best round of three-under-par 69 to take tied-38th place at the BMW PGA Championship on Sunday. The Thai ace never got into first gear in the first three rounds after posting scores of 72, 73 and 74 at the European Tour flagship event in England. Thongchai however produced the form that underlined his status of one of Asia’s best when he mixed seven birdies and four bogeys to close his campaign with a four-day total of even-par 288. His performance left him 14 shots back of Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy, who capped a roller-coaster week with his first European Tour win on European soil.
