    Hua Hin native Prom Meesawat was happy with his opening round efforts of one-under-par 71 in tricky conditions at the Dubai Open. The Black Mountain sponsored player is five shots back from the first day leader Kalem Richardson but feels he is in good position to launch a title assault.

It was the Black Mountain sponsored player’s sixth top-10 including his victory in Taipei earlier this year. His total of 13-under-par 275 was seven shots from the champion Thaworn Wiratchant.
