Jazz sings a happy tune after Swiss show

Thai teenager Jazz Janewattananond couldn’t have asked for a better debut at the Omega European Masters in Switzerland.

The 19-year-old featured amongst the leaders after the opening round at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club which is set amidst the stunning Swiss Alps before settling for a share of 37th position in the co-sanctioned Asian Tour and European Tour tournament.

Edberg enjoys final round flourish at Omega European Masters

Pelle Edberg of Sweden saved the best for last when he fired a seven-under-par 63 in the final round of the Omega European Masters to enjoy a fourth place finish on Sunday.

The Black Mountain player fired six birdies, one eagle against one bogey to soar up the leaderboard on a 14-under-par 266 total at the Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club.

Pelle Edberg of Sweden is within sight of the Omega European Masters title thanks to a third round four-under-par 66 on Saturday.

The Black Mountain sponsored player traded four birdies, one eagle against two bogeys to sit in tied seventh position on seven-under-par 203 total at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland.

Black Mountain player Rikard Karlberg fired a three-under-par 67 to battle his way into contention at the Omega European Masters on Saturday.

The Swedish star posted four birdies against one bogey for an eight-under-par 132 total to trail the leader Danny Willet of England by five shots heading into the weekend.

Black Mountain is well represented at the Omega European Masters as Sweden’s Rikard Karlberg, Pelle Edberg and Jazz Janewattananond fired matching five-under-par 65s in the opening round.

The trio are in tied third position and are only two shots back from the first round leader Gregory Havret of France at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland.

Thongchai vows to return stronger at The Open

Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee is confident he will be back to contend at The Open after he ended his Major campaign with a one-over-par 73 on Monday.

As the only player to win three Asian Tour Order of Merit titles, the Thai veteran was hoping to surmount a late challenge after carding previous rounds of 72, 71 and 70 at the Old Course in St Andrews.

One of them is Thongchai Jaidee who finished in the top ten in last weeks tournament in France. The most remarkable moment from that tournament was his start on the third round, where he recorded six birdies on the first six holes.
