Enjoying the Pro Am

Hua Hin, Thailand, January 15: As a member of the Black Mountain Golf Club, Goran Petersson had the privilege of playing alongside Sweden’s Johan Edfors, who is one of the marquee names at this week’s US$1 million King’s Cup Golf Hua Hin.

In this blog, Petersson talks about his experience of playing with Edfors in today’s pro-am.

It was very fun playing with Johan today. I learnt a lot from him and I received some valuable tips on how to improve my golf shots and putting. He also thought me how to read the line on the greens better.

I know Johan because I’m a member at Black Mountain Golf Club. However, I never had the opportunity to play golf with him before. This is the first time I’m playing 18 holes with him.

Even though it was a fun day, I can honestly say that it was very challenging to play at the Black Mountain golf course. It was very difficult to putt on the tricky greens. But Johan played very well. I think he has a good chance of winning.

He won the par three contest on Tuesday and I watched him play there. They had many good players playing in the event so it was good to see him win.

It is very difficult to predict who will win the King’s Cup Golf Hua Hin because there are many good players playing this week. Many Thai players also train here so they know the golf course very well.

I’m 56 years old and I’ve been visiting Hua Hin since 1999. It is a very nice town with lots of things to do for tourist and golfers!
