Good luck Thongchai Jaidee at WGC-Accenture Match Play

Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee will meet American Webb Simpson in his opening match when the WGC-Accenture Match Play gets underway on Wednesday.

We will be tracking the progress of our Black Mountain star player and supporting him all the way as he hopes to get the better of the 2012 US Open champion in Arizona, USA.

Expect nothing but the best from the Thai who is currently ranked 51st in the world and has enjoyed solid performances in previous editions previously.

In 2010, the 13-time Asian Tour winner battled his way into the quarter-finals before losing to eventual champion Ian Poulter of England. He also finished runner-up at the Volvo World Match Play Championship in Bulgaria last year, losing in the final to Europe’s Ryder Cup hero Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland.

The WGC-Accenture Match Play will feature a total of 37 international players, representing 18 countries. 64 of the top 67 players from the Official World Golf Ranking will feature in the event. Thailand is represented by Thongchai Jaidee and Kiradech Aphibarnrat.
