Cejka’s day to forget

Black Mountain sponsored player Alex Cejka of Germany had a day to forget when he signed for a disappointing seven-over-par 77 to slip to a share of 57^th place at the US. Open on Saturday.

After rounds of 73 and 71, Cejka continued to struggle at the demanding Pinehurst No. 2 when he marked his card with eight bogeys.

The German’s only saving grace came on the par-four 16 where he carded his lone birdie to compile a three-day total of 11-over-par 221.

Cejka will head into the final round 19 shots back of runaway leader and compatriot Martin Kaymer who leads on 202.
