In the spotlight: Jazz Janewattananond
Black Mountain sponsored player Jazz Janewattananond has another chance to claim his maiden victory on the Asian Tour with the Resorts World Manila Masters coming up for him this week. The 18-year-old opens up about his form and chances ahead of the US1million event in Manila.
“My game’s been good. It has been good for me so far. I haven’t missed the cut for two weeks in a row now and this is the third week. I try to keep up with my fitness because I still have a lot of tournaments to go before the end of the season. I tell myself to stay patient and not rush into things. I’ve had a pretty good season so far. I am going to keep my card for next season.
I am hoping to win one tournament. I will try my best. It’s good to see young players like Rashid Khan and Richard T. Lee winning on Tour. I think I can do it too. I believe my time will come soon if I keep up with what I’ve been doing.
I like this course. I have played well here last year but it seems to be windier than last year. It will be a challenging week. Putting is key to play well here. My goal was to keep the card earlier this year and not that I’ve achieved it, I am hoping to win. Everyone is starting to win tournaments already so I hope I can do it too. I will play all the remaining tournaments for the season, try to knock on every door and see which one opens for me.”
