Asian tour comes to Black Mountain

In February 2022, “The International Series” was unveiled by LIV Golf Investments and the Asian Tour, with Black Mountain hosting the first tournament, launching the new series of marquee international events. 144 players from all over the world, including more than 50 Asian Tour winners and six Order of Merit champions entered the event on 3rd March, competing for the prize purse of US$1.5 million.

Congratulations go out to America’s Sihwan Kim, whose -26 total secured the “International Series Thailand” victory at Black Mountain Golf Club, Hua Hin.
Starting the final day 3 shots behind overnight leader Pachara Khongwatmai, Kim shot 7 consecutive birdies over the first 8 holes, giving him a lead which he consolidated on the back nine, shooting a 9-under par final round of 63.
It was a pleasure hosting the Asian Tour and the International Series Thailand event at Black Mountain and we wish the International Series every success as they move on to England for the next tournament.

The “International Series”, in addition to the Asian Tour calendar of regular events, consists of 10 select tournaments across Asia and Europe in 2022/2023, and is backed by a $300 million investment. The International Series will run every year for the next 10 years, and now moves on to England, then Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Middle East and then China, Singapore and Hong Kong, all events being broadcast live on TV.
