      Black Mountain’s Simon Yates capped a great week in Dubai by finishing in third place after signing off with a four-under-par 68 at the Dubai Open over the weekend.

      Hua Hin native Prom Meesawat was happy with his opening round efforts of one-under-par 71 in tricky conditions at the Dubai Open. The Black Mountain sponsored player is five shots back from the first day leader Kalem Richardson but feels he is in good position to launch a title assault.

      Dubai, December 18: Thailand’s Prom Meesawat hopes to end his 2014 season on a winning note at the inaugural Dubai Open in his hopes of finishing second on the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit.

      Prom Meesawat of Thailand shot a final round one-under-par 71 to finish tied ninth at the King’s Cup on Sunday. It was the Black Mountain sponsored player’s sixth top-10 including his victory in Taipei earlier this year. His total of 13-under-par 275 was seven shots from the champion Thaworn Wiratchant.

      Prom stays in sights of leaders

      Prom Meesawat of Thailand fired a four-under-par 68 to stay within sight of the leaders after the first round of the King’s Cup in Khon Kaen, Thailand on Thursday.
