Black Mountain Scores Big At Asian Awards!

Black Mountain Scores Big At Asian Awards!

Black Mountain Golf Club scored big yet again at the 2018 Asian Golf Awards that was staged at the plush -5-star Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel.

Amongst the numerous awards that the club received were two awards that have set it up amongst the best of the best in the Asia Pacific. The first is the prestigious Asia Pacific Order of Zenith, the absolute highest honour that can be bestowed upon a club. This award places Black Mountain in a very exclusive grouping of golf clubs which are universally recognised as the best in the region.

The other elite award saw the induction of the club’s general manager, Harald Elisson (pictured receiving his award from Angela Raymond, President of the Asia Pacific Golf Group) into the Asia Pacific Legion of Leaders. Like the Zenith Award, the Legion of Leaders recognises a select group of club general managers as the best in the Asia Pacific. Elisson joins a small inaugural group of peers who have been installed in this highest of highest category of leaders in the club management industry.

“I am honoured to have been inducted into this select group of general managers and it will only help to drive me to serve my club and my profession with great pride,” said Elisson.

The full awards list received by Black Mountain will be released within the next few days.

Meanwhile, the founder and owner of Black Mountain, Stig Notlov was honoured as a member of “The Most Powerful People In Golf” in the Asia Pacific.

Black Mountain, which is a multi-award winning golf club in Hua Hin is proud to be located in this exciting city.

Commenting on Hua Hin’s success, Harald Elisson said, “We are all very delighted with this news – it is further testimony to the work done by Black Mountain and the other top clubs in Hua Hin and how these efforts have helped to place our home on the world golf destination market.”

Located 200 km south of Bangkok, Hua Hin is the country’s oldest beach resort. Great Golfing Days Are Back Again!

With the season change, it’s like being born again. The award-winning Black Mountain Golf Course is looking resplendent as ever and every aspect of the golf club and course has been given a total make-over to welcome the high-season.

“We are all set to welcome the high season and we are especially proud of the fact that we have a truly wonderful Black Mountain Experience waiting for all of our members, guests and visitors,” revealed Harald Elisson, general manager of the club.

“We have been busy making improvements to the course and I am pleased to inform everyone that we have new tee boxes on the par three 5th hole of the North Course and a new “signature” elevated tee on the par 3 East Course 3rd hole, making the green visible from the tee.”

The continuing landscaping work at the West Course has resulted in the addition of a beautiful tree-lined waterfall between the 8th green and the 9th tee. And that’s not all – new tees are currently being added on No.7 East which when completed will add a whole new dimension to the drive.

Come on over and experience all of the changes for yourself. Golf at Black Mountain has just got better!

Black Mountain – A Delectable Piece Of Asia!

Black Mountain – A Delectable Piece Of Asia!

What’s your idea of a perfect setting for an ideal home?

Would it have to be in a part of the world where there is sunshine all year round. A glorious tropical environment snapped right out of a storybook. A place where you can have all the creature comforts within your reach. A home that you will never want to leave!

Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, you have found your perfect spot in the world! It is located right on the multi-award-winning Black Mountain Golf Club in the Royal City of Hua Hin in Thailand.

It was always the vision of the owner/developer of Black Mountain, Swedish entrepreneur Stig Notlov to create a community in Thailand that would be perfectly suited for people seeking either a permanent home or a vacation home set on rolling greens and surrounded by mountains. More than a decade later, Black Mountain has matured into one of the finest golf communities in Asia.

With a well-knit community of residents already living at Black Mountain, Notlov decided to add another enclave of exclusive homes designed specially for those with exquisite taste for a life-style of serenity mixed with world class golf.

The latest edition to the homes at Black Mountain has been named North Point – this is very appropriate given the fact that the parcel of land is located at the highest point on the golf property and it provides a sweeping panoramic view of the stunning surrounding vista.

“Because of the prime location of North Point, this tract of land is being reserved exclusively for our villas,” according to Harald Elisson, managing director of Black Mountain Golf Club.

The villas are three-storey structures with four rooms and each purchase will come complete with two life-time memberships to the golf club.

“We have designed the homes at North Point to be spacious and to take optimum advantage of the surroundings which are both natural and specially landscaped to fit in with our plans for gracious living,” Elisson explained.

The villas at North Point are being complimented with two-storey twin-houses that are sited along the West Course, the newest part of the 27-hole spread of Black Mountain.

“Like the villas, the twin-houses will also come with four rooms and two life-time golf club memberships,” Elisson pointed out.

The villas are priced at US$1.2 million (approximate) and the twin-houses will be sold at US$600,000 (approximate).

Commenting on the life-time golf club membership Elisson said, “We want golf to be one of the bonding factors of living in Black Mountain because this is what has made Black Mountain the most desired golfing community in Asia.”

Bookings for North Point are now open and interested parties are welcome to contact Black Mountain to discuss their intentions.

Rookie Win For Waring In Sweden

Britain’s Paul Waring (pictured) literally had to battle for his maiden win on the European Tour.

The 33-year old Englishman outlasted South Africa’s Thomas Aiken in a play-off to win the Nordea Masters in Gothenburg.

Waring held a two-shot lead with four holes to play before Aiken birdied the last to force extra holes.

Waring and Aiken both shot two-under 68s to finish on 14-under par, a shot ahead of Germany’s Max Kieffer, who carded a five-under 65 in the final round.

Denmark’s Thorbjorn Olesen finished fourth to move ahead of England’s Ian Poulter in the race to qualify automatically for Europe’s Ryder Cup team.
