Debutant Jazz aims to shine at Omega European Masters

Black Mountain will be represented by five players at the Omega European Masters in Switzerland this week.

Thongchai Jaidee, Rikard Karlberg, Pelle Edberg, Prom Meesawat and Jazz Janewattananond will challenge for honours at the beautiful Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in the event which is sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour.

The talented Jazz will make his debut at the Omega European Masters where he hopes to shine after taking a relaxing break at Black Mountain in Hua Hin, Thailand.

“I haven’t been practising much because it is nice to take a break from golf and experience new sports like wakeboarding at Black Mountain. When you get your mind off something, you tend to play better golf,” he smiled.

After missing out on an opportunity to play at the Omega European Masters last year, Jazz hopes to make amends and shine in his first appearance at Switzerland.

“This is a new experience for me. The train ride here was unbelievable because the scenery is so beautiful. I’m happy to be here. I learnt from my mistake last year. I had the opportunity to play here last year but I didn’t make my visa on time. This year, I made sure that I did it in advance!

“The golf course here is different what we play in Asia. I’ve some junior golf in the United States so I’m quite comfortable on the greens. I just need to make some adjustments. I’ve been playing well so it is a good confidence build-up for this event,” said Jazz.

We wish all our players the best of luck at the Omega European Masters!
