Cejka soaks in the positives after U.S. Open stint

Alex Cejka of Germany will put his U.S. Open experience to good use after finishing tied 60th in the year’s second Major championship on Sunday. It was Cejka’s seventh appearance in the U.S. Open and he enjoyed a strong opening two rounds of 73 and 71 but stumbled during the weekend when he returned with a 77 and 76 for a 17-over-par 297 total at Pinehurst.

The Black Mountain player struggled in the final round on the challenging course where he only managed to shoot one birdie against five bogeys and one double bogey.

However, the experience will spur Cejka on when he continues his mission on the Web.Com Tour where he currently sits in third position on the money list.
