Good effort Karlberg!

Rikard Karlberg of Sweden fought hard at the SAIL-SBI Open to end his campaign at the US$300,000 Asian Tour event in third position on Saturday.

He posted a final round four-under-par 68 for a 12-under-par 276 total to finish six shots from joining the play-off with Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh and Rashid Khan of India, who eventually won the season-opening Asian Tour event.

It was another great result for the Black Mountain sponsored player as he finished runner up at the King’s Cup Golf Hua Hin in January.

Berry Henson of the United States, also a Black Mountain player, produced a 70 which moved him up to tied 23rd position on 283 at the Delhi Golf Club.

Meanwhile, Malcolm Kokocinski of Sweden finished tied sixth at the PGM Sime Darby Harvard Championship on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) in Malaysia following a final round 72.

Kokocinski, who practised at Black Mountain earlier this year to prepare for the Asian Tour Qualifying School, was nine shots from the champion Wisut Artjanawat of Thailand.
