Prom finished third in Manila

After being beaten in a play-off last year, Prom Meesawat of Thailand was delighted to finish third after shooting a final round four-under-par 68 at the Resorts World Manila Masters on Sunday.

I didn’t have a good draw for the first two days. I played in the wind on both days which made it a different course. Today was also windy but I put myself in full control and tried to give myself some birdie chances. I still made mistakes on the par five fourth hole and then missed some short putts. But it’s still a good week for me.

When I walked out of the clubhouse and I saw the wind, I knew it was very difficult to catch him. I was hoping for a good start, hoping for three or four under in the first few holes and then hoping for him to drop some shots but it didn’t happen.

I am trying to finish top two on the Order of Merit to get into the WGC-Cadillac Championship but with four tournaments to play, anything can still happen as I’m on good form. I’m committed to play in the last four tournaments.

I think I still have a chance. I hope to have some good weekends ahead. I just have to be careful with playing too much though. I don’t want to over push myself. I just want to let it happen and just enjoy my golf and see what happens.
