Thongchai Jaidee winner of this year’s Nordea Masters!

What a great week this has been for the Black Mountain family!

Black Mountain player and Thai superstar Thongchai Jaidee finished his four day campaign with a magnificent last round to capture his sixth European Tour win with a victory at the Nordea Masters on PGA National in Malmoe.

Following an impressive opening where he birdied his first three holes he went on to shoot another three birdies while also mesmerizing the crowd with an eagle at the 11th. His last round spurt was enough to finish at 16 under par and force a playoff where he would face France’s Victor Dubuisson and Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher. Once there Jaidee showed no mercy and with a short birdie putt on the first extra hole he took home the trophy and the 250 000 € first price.

In less than two weeks Jaidee will play in the US Open at Pinehurst and off course we hope that he’ll be able to display the same excellent form on the other side of the Atlantic!

During long strides of this tournament Black Mountain’s other star player Rikard Karlberg was in close competition for a top spot. After a good last round of three under par 69 he went on to finish tied for 15th place, seven shots behind Jaidee.

Prodigy and recent Black Mountain acquisition Sebastian Söderberg chocked the spectators at the PGA National course by claiming a position high up on the leaderboard after his first day round of 67. After this promising start he had a couple of disappointing rounds before bouncing back today with a one under par 70 to finish tied for 60th place.
