Thongchai lurks on 69

Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee continued to put the spotlight on Asian golf and Black Mountain Golf Club when he remained in contention at the halfway stage of the Alstom Open de France by posting a two-under-par 69.

The Black Mountain sponsored player is seeking his third victory on European soil this week and is seven shots behind American leader Kevin Stadler in tied-fourth after signing for a two-day total of three-under-par 139.

At the Aegean Airlines Challenge Tour in Germany, Sweden’s Pelle Edberg improved with a 70 after an opening 73 to move up to a share of 34th place at the Challenge Tour event.

The Swede is five shots back of England’s Andrew Johnston who leads on 138.

Meanwhile Germany’s Alex Cejka traded five birdies against two bogeys at the Nova Scotia Open in Canada to take a share of 23rd place at the web.com event where he is third place on the money list.
