Thongchai shows why he is the best

March 10: Black Mountain sponsored player Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand closed with a four-under-par 68 at the WGC-Cadillac Championship to underline his reputation of one of Asia’s best players.

The 44-year-old signed off with a four-day total of four-under-par 289 to finish five shots behind eventual champion, Patrick Reed of the United States in tied-sixth place at the year’s second World Golf Championship.

It was Thongchai’s career best finish at a World Golf Championship event and his impressive finish in the United States moved him seven spots back into the world’s top-50, allowing him to stake his place among the game’s elite in 46th place.

Thongchai will be back in Asia later this month, undertaking the role as Team Asia’s playing captain at the inaugural EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM in Malaysia.
