A total of three Black Mountain sponsored players will feature in the weekend rounds of The Championship which is held in Singapore this week. Sweden’s Rikard Karlberg, Johan Edfors and Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond safely made the cut which was set at four-under-par at the US$1.5 million event which is co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour.
Edfors posted a five-under-par 67 to take a share of 24th place after a two-day total of seven-under-par 137 while Karlberg is a shot back in tied-34th place after he carded a 68.
Jazz signed for a 69 to trail second round leader Panuphol Pittayarat of Thailand by eight shots.
Berry Henson unfortunately had to retire from his round after he sustained an injury to his eye. The American opened with a 74 and was even-par through 10 holes before he made the decision to retire.
“My vision was blurry and I could not focus. I was having migraines and it was difficult to continue,” said Henson.
